Prostate cancer is the most frequently man cancer with 60,000 new cases and 9,000 death each year in France. In the other hand comanipulation devices are growing in the surgical field to ensure a good quality of the diagnosis and the treatment of diseases.

In this context, PROSBOT project aims to develop new assistive systems to enhance the precision of the gesture in order to heighten the quality of the diagnosis to increase the therapeutic decision taking.
This project involves the development of advanced ultrasound imaging and synthesis algorithms and real time deformable biomecanical patterns of the prostate. Moreover a biopsy simulator will teach the biopsy gesture and the device manipulation.
